Senait Tesfait

Senait Tesfai has a BA in Sociology from Harvard University where she focused her studies on first and second-generation Americans. She recently completed her master's degree in Oral History at Columbia University, where she worked on her own audio and video documentaries. Her thesis was a long-form audio documentary about students coming from rural Kenya to elite American universities. A sampling of her audio work can be heard on Sound Cloud here.  She is a freelance oral historian and recently started working on the radio show Person, Place, Thing, with Randy Cohen.
