Rita Kamani-Renedo

Rita Kamani-Renedo recently completed a Masters program at Columbia University Teachers College in Bilingual/Bicultural Education. In her Masters thesis, she sought to give voice to the experiences of people of mixed-heritage in the literature on bilingual and multicultural education through focus groups and interviews with people whose parents are of different linguistic backgrounds and by exploring the language practices of their homes, their schooling and their peer groups. She currently works with NYC public high school youth through Global Kids.
