Jonathan Blazon

Biography

Jonathan Blazon was born in Manchester, New Hampshire and raised in Concord, New Hampshire and Brooklyn, New York. His maternal grandparents emigrated from China and his father's family was French-Canadian. He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City and the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France. He later worked for Primera Languages for Business in New York City as a director and managing partner.

"I’m revealing to myself that it still hurts that Chinese people think of me as being less Chinese -- of not being Chinese, actually. I shouldn’t say 'less.' They just don’t even consider me as being Chinese. And I hate it. I really do."
