The US Government usually breaks Hispanics out from the Black and white population, as I did in the previous graph (slide #4) - except sometimes they don't.

If you want to get an idea of all the ways that the census bureau race definitions have changed over time, in the slides that follow, compare the 2010 race question to the 1970 race question and what the 1880 census called the "color" question.
