Alexander David

Biography

Alexander David was raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn. His mother is Chinese-American and his father was born to a Jewish family in Romania and raised in Canada. David attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan, where he played baseball, football, and founded a club for mixed race students. He entered City College of New York as a Macaulay Honors student and studied biomedical engineering.

"I was always the other…To the white kids I was Asian. To the Asian kids I was white. My girlfriend at the time was Asian and she considered me her white boyfriend."
