Measuring the US Melting Pot

Check out this interesting data visualization showing the distribution of certain ethnic heritages around the US: Measuring the US Melting Pot (via Bloomberg).

The list of ethnicities is very limited and does not even include African ancestry or Native American nations.

The data is from the 2010 American Community Survey (see image above) which is conducted by the US Census Bureau every year. Here's more info on the survey and how it differs from the US Census, which is taken every 10 years.
